This Policy applies to Personal Information that we collect through your access to and use of www.g-e-s.com, including any subdomain, content, functionality, and services offered on or through the website, as well as communications between you and us through the website, or by phone, email, text message, or other electronic means (collectively, the “Site”), or otherwise collected through our relationship with you. This Site is hosted in the United States and is intended only for users in the United States.

By using our Site, clicking a checkbox, providing Personal Information to us, or communicating with us through electronic means, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Policy, and agree to be bound by our “Terms of Use”, which this Policy is incorporated into.   • Identifiers such as your first and last name, email address, and your country, if you utilize the Preference Center to let us know your areas of interest, your industry, or the types of whitepapers or newsletters you subscribe to.

Job Applicants. When you apply for a job or contracting position with us, we collect the following categories of Personal Information from you:

  • Identifiers, such as your name, email, and mailing address, phone number, and any login ID / email address and password created by you.
  • Professional or employment-related information and education information, such as your job search criteria and preferences, your availability to work, your employment experience, current job title, educational history, your skills, reference information, background check information, pay/compensation expectations, ability to work in the United States, citizenship, whether you now or in the future require sponsorship to continue work authorization, languages spoken, and information contained in your resume. If we run a background check on you, we may also collect some of this information from our background check provider.
  • Financial information such as direct deposit or bank account information.
  • Internet activity, such as your browsing activity on the Site, IP address, cookies, and geolocation data.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications under applicable law when you apply for a job with us, such as gender (optional), ethnicity (optional), and whether you are a veteran (optional).

Other Sources of Personal Information. In addition to collecting Personal Information directly from you, we collect the following categories of Personal Information from the following sources:

  • When you subscribe or purchase any company service, we collect identifiers such as your name, email address, country, city, state, and zip code. In addition, you may be asked for billing details, including country, contact name, phone number, email address, company name, address, city, state, and zip code.
  • Professional or employment-related information such as your job title, position/role, company, and industry.

  • We also collect your business contact information such as name, business email, telephone number, company name, job level, and functional role through the following sources: GES partners and/or co-sponsors of events attended or organized by GES; third parties from whom we have purchased business contact information; and publicly accessible websites, such as a company’s website, professional network services, or press releases.

 

2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use Personal Information for the following business and commercial purposes:
